How Low Can He Go
Ed Morrissey weighs in on this:
You know, I try not to jump to conclusions about our current President. For example, people say he’s some kind of Secret Muslim, I take it with a grain of salt. He did attend a Christian church for twenty years, after all. Some say he wasn’t born in the US. Maybe, maybe not, but either way, it’s a dry well and in actuality doesn’t do anything at this point but make the ones screaming it look desperate.
Another thing they say is that he hates America and what we stand for. I have always been cautious about jumping on those bandwagons; after all, Democrats are Americans too, and we all generally want what is best for our nation. Usually, the differences come in how to achieve those ends, and often come down to government spending or free markets.
But dammit, President Obama and the self-proclaimed Mao admirers known as his Administration are making it harder and harder to not believe that. Flying all over the world to apologize for our country, bowing to foreign leaders, supporting Marxist leaning wanna-be dictators instead of constitutionally supported law and order, and currently doing all he can to undermine our alliance with Israel makes me wonder if he’s just a blithering, idiotic incompetent, or if indeed there is an agenda of lowering our status in the eyes of the world (and thereby raising the status of those who would actually wish us harm).
And now, refusing the fly the flag that I proudly signed up to defend while on a mission of mercy. Because it might offend someone.
You know, if Obama is afraid that seeing the stars and stripes is going to offend people, then it’s official: He really does hold a low opinion of the country that gave him everything. And in light of all the evidence, taken together, I am now on the side of those who believe he really does wish to harm our great nation.
For me, November elections cannot come soon enough. We must blunt his power in the Congress, and take away that coalition of Progressives that is doing all it can to destroy our economy and the free markets. And when he continues to overstep, we boot his hind end back to the suburbs of Chicago.
Or Hawaii, or Kenya. I don’t care. Just leave.
