Joe Dan Gorman: “I am the Infidel”

with one comment

Hot off the presses, the latest from your favorite, no-mercy in-your-face rocker, Joe Dan Gorman. Part of this is in response to his “Live to Die (for Virgins in the Sky)” criticism of Islam being removed from YouTube, so lets enjoy this one.

Make sure you visit his site, hit the tip jar if you can, and maybe even pull down his whole album for your MP3 Player.

Snownami, Snowmageddon, and Blizzards in a Global Warming Age

leave a comment »

With the Blizzard of Twenty-Eleven keeping me home, I’ve been keeping busy trying to keep some semblance of a walking path around our humble abode. Seems that I brush it off, and 20 minutes later I’ve got to go back over it again. Such are the winters I grew up with in Missouri.

One would think that the message would be getting through to the Global Warming Climate Change alarmists. Obviously, God has one heckuva sense of humor, as nearly every time they get together in some conference to address the crisis, there is a weather anomaly bringing record cold and/or snow to the site of said gathering, such as in Mexico not long ago.

I’ve seen in other places, as well, that the last year or so was significantly colder on average, and in fact so much so that it completely erased the “higher” average temperatures for the entire last decade. Add to that the revelations that so-called climate scientists have been caught over and over ‘cooking the books.’ This should make us all skeptical of the “Inconvenient Truth” former Vice President Al Gore has been making millions of dollars informing us about.

But apparently, as the visibility decreases with the snow and winds here in Kansas City, so their conviction increases. I had made a joke on a friend’s Facebook post in Gore’s “voice” that this snowfall sweeping the midwest and wreaking havoc is all because of Global Warming. Imagine my surprise to find this on Al Gore’s Journal Blog:

As it turns out, the scientific community has been addressing this particular question for some time now and they say that increased heavy snowfalls are completely consistent with what they have been predicting as a consequence of man-made global warming:

He goes on to explain that increased temperatures lead to increased moisture in the air, which in turn leads to hotter highs and colder lows, and stronger storms. You know, like the massive increase the last two years we’ve seen in Caribbean hurricanes, right?

Now, to be fair, it does sort of make sense when explained that way. A disruption of weather patterns in one area can affect other areas exponentially. However, that brings us to the Chaos Theory, where the idea that a butterfly flapping its wings in China will eventually cause a tornado in Kansas.

Those sort of things can not be predicted, let alone controlled, at least not with technology we can envision. Mother Nature has her own way of doing things, and what will happen will happen regardless of our efforts to force another outcome. Meteorologists generally can’t tell me if and/or how much it might rain next week, and they expect us to believe that an average increase of fractions of degrees is going to happen in ten years? And that somehow my not driving my pickup truck will stop it?

Come on, Al, it’s over. I’m all for industry being as clean as possible. I don’t want dark clouds of smoke hanging over our cities and towns, and I don’t want factories dumping toxic waste into rivers and lakes I may wish to swim in, drink from, or catch fish from. Let’s concentrate on the actual dangers like that, and not some phantom like carbon dioxide, which I firmly believe is nothing more than some backdoor way to control as much of America’s industry as possible.
